There haven't been many things that I've been looking forward to the past few weeks. I'm in the processes of getting a new set of golf clubs, and I'm still waiting for my school to send me my $40,000 piece of paper I earned over the past four years.
But one thing I was really looking forward to was watching Peter Warrick tear things up at The Q for the Gladiators, Cleveland's new Arena Football League team.
It looks like myself and many other Warrick-fans won't get the chance to see the former play-maker. Not in Cleveland anyway.
Warrick has been cut by the Cleveland AFL team, although, it was uncertain if he would even play at all because of his contract disputes that dated back to when the team was in Las Vegas. Not sure if that was the reason for his release, though.
Warrick never lived up to his potential in the NFL (ask anyone from Cincinnati) and it looks like his football career in general may be over. Getting cut by an AFL team is certainly a good indication.
Remember when the Browns almost drafted him, but instead, they made the sure-fire pick with Courtney Brown, passing up Warrick and Lavar Arrington? That worked out great for everyone.
